The Mass versus The Lord’s Supper

The Mass

The Lord’s Supper

The Roman Catholic Church teaches that the Mass:

The Bible teaches that the Lord’s supper pictures:

is the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ, supernaturally transformed by the priest from common bread and  Liquor !

Then they eat His  flesh and drink His blood!

To the Holy Mother Church, the Holy Mass, is called a Holy Eucharist, or a holy meal.  Catholics eat their Holy cookie,  their body of  Christ.  They eat their God!

At the second Vatican Council in 1963, Pope John 23rd declared, “I do accept entirely all that has been declared at the Council Of Trent.”

Council Of Trent:

Canon I:

If anyone shall deny that the body and blood,  together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore entire Christ,  are truly, really, and substantially contained in the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, and shall say that He is only in it as a sign, or in a figure—let him be accursed!

Symbolically the first and second coming of the Lord.

(1 Cor 11:26 KJV)  For as often as ye eat this bread (not his body), and drink this cup (not his blood), ye do show the Lord's death (1st coming) till he come (2nd Coming).

Cannibalism! Is forbidden in both testaments.

(Acts 15:20 KJV)…they abstain from…blood.

(Acts 15:29 KJV)…ye abstain from…blood,

(Lev 7:27 KJV)  Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.

(Lev 17:10 KJV)…I will set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off...

(1 Cor 11:26 KJV)  For as often as ye eat this bread (not his body), and drink this cup (not his blood), ye do show the Lord's death (1st coming) till he come (2nd Coming).

(1 Cor 11:25 KJV)…he took the cup, (not his body) when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament (symbolically) in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, (not my blood) in remembrance of me.

(Mat 26:29 KJV)…I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it NEW with you in my Father's kingdom (At the 2nd Coming). This proves the liquid in the cup was NEW wine, the fruit of the vine (not his blood!)

(Isa 65:8 KJV)  Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster. This proves that this was fresh squeezed grape juicenot fermented liquor! Jesus squeezed the grapes into his cup!

(John 6:63 KJV)  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit... (Spiritual. This proves Jesus is speaking symbolically, because even if you could eat his flesh, it would profit you nothing!

And you are forbidden to eat his blood!

The Roman Catholic priest says that the body of Jesus is broken in the Mass at the Altar – daily!

The Bible said the body of Jesus was broken  ONCE

—at Calvary!   Forever!

There is no blood in the priest’s cup! It is liquor!

So a Catholic Priest is deceived!  And he is  deceiving YOU!

(Heb 10:12 KJV)  But this man, (Jesus) after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever…

(At Calvary!  Not in the priest’s cup!)

(Rom 3:25 KJV)… through faith in his blood! (Which he shed at Calvary!  Not in a priest’s cup!

The Roman Catholic Mass is a:

·        cup of devils

·         table of devils.

1 Cor 10:21 KJV)  Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord,

and the cup of devils:

ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table,

and of the table of devils.

To the Holy Mother Church, the Body of Christ is the wafer!

To a born again Christian, the Body of Christ was sacrificed at Calvary, and now the Body of Christ is a spiritual body composed of all true believers.  It is Not a cookie!

The Roman Catholic Church teaches that the Mass is a sacrifice --  a continuing sacrifice!

The Lord’s Supper is not a sacrifice. Jesus said: this do ye… (drink the fresh-squeezed grape juice)

in rembrance of me.

The Mass is identical to Calvary—it is a sacrifice for sin—it must be perpetuated to take away sin.

The Council of Trent required all pastors to explain that not only did the elements of the Mass contain flesh, bones and nerves as a part of Christ, But also a WHOLE CHRIST.

Thus it is referred to as the sacrifice of the Mass, and as a renewal of the sacrifice of the cross.

((Heb 10:14 KJV)  For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

(Heb 9:28 KJV)  So Christ was once offered …

not continually!

(Heb 9:12 KJV)  …by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Second Vatican Council: 1963‑65:

At the Last Supper… our Saviour instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice of His body and blood. He did this in order to perpetuate the sacrifice of the cross. p. 154, The Documents of Vatican II, Walter M. Abbott, S.J.

He didn’t institute the Eucharistic sacrifice.  He sacrificed His own blood, once, at Calvary!

In the book:: This Is The Catholic Church. published by the Catholic Information Service, Knights of Columbus, Imprimatur:44, the Most Reverend John F. Whealon, Archbishop of Hartford wrote:

It is only through the perpetuation of that sacrifice that this union may be maintained.

For the Mass is the continuation of Christ's sacrifice.  The Mass is thus the same as the sacrifice of the cross.

No matter how many times it is offered…

The Lord’s Supper has nothing to do with a sacrifice, nor is it necessary to stay saved! It is not a perpetuating sacrifice.

It was offered only once!

The Mass and the cross are different!

The Priest invites you to come to the altar to receive Jesus, to feed on him daily, to eat his physical body, and drink his literal blood!

The born again Christian receives Jesus spiritually, at the moment of the new birth,  by faith in His blood atonementat Calvary—not in the cup!

The Holy Roman Church demands that the Mass is essential to receive salvation.

The Lord’s Supper has nothing to do with salvation

After you have repented of  your sins, confessed to a Priest, had him pronounce absolution over you, then you can come to the altar to receive Jesus in the cup and the wafer, and obtain temporary salvation, until you sin and the process starts over again.

The born again Christian receives Jesus spiritually, at the moment of the new birth,  by faith in His blood atonement—at Calvary—not in the cup!

There is no eternal life promised to the Catholic.  He must work to obtain Purgatory—maybe!

The true born again Christian has eternal life, and is eternally secure from the moment of the new birth--forever.

He couldn’t go to Hell even if he tried!

The Catholic is saved by the Priest, at his discretion.  He forgives you of your sins by pronouncing absolution.

The true born again Christian is saved by God, at His discretion, when He knows you are believing and trusting properly.

The Holy Roman Church  baptizes one into the Holy Roman Church by a Priest through  water  baptism

The Lord Jesus Christ baptizes a true born again Christian into His Spiritual Body,  The Body of Christ, at the moment of the new birth, with the Holy Spirit.

(John 1:33 KJV)…the same (Jesus) is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

Water Baptism has no effect on salvation!

There is no eternal security in the Holy Roman Church.  The Catholic is always in bondage to

·The Rites of the Church,

·The Mass,

·and his own works!

The true born again Christian is eternally secure.

(Eph 2:8 KJV)  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

(Eph 2:9 KJV)  Not of works.

(2 Cor 6:15 KJV)  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

(2 Cor 6:16 KJV)  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?

(2 Cor 6:17 KJV)  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

Unfruitful Works of Darkness

(Eph 5:11 KJV)  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

(1 Cor 10:16 KJV)  The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

(1 Cor 10:17 KJV)  For we (true born again believers) being many are one bread, and one body (spiritual body of Christ): for we are all partakers of that one bread (Jesus Christ!), (when He puts us in that body at the new birth).

In eating the Lord’s Supper, the discerning Christian realizes that the communion is the common union or common unity of the believers symbolizing the Lord Jesus Christ shedding God’s blood--at Calvary! Not in the cup!

For All!

He understands that Jesus’ physical body was broken only once at Calvary as a substitutionary vicarious blood atonement for our sin.

And he knows the Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of  Jesus’ death (on the cross) until He returns (at the 2nd Coming).

And the true born again Christian has faith that he is saved by God’s grace, and puts no faith whatsoever in the

The Church,

the Sacraments,

Water Baptism,

Rites, nor

good works to gain salvation.

He knows that the body of Christ is made of born again believers, and is

not in the Cookie!

Just as he knows the blood of Christ was shed at Calvary—not in the cup!
